about

At the start of 2005, I embarked on a project to record and release a new music track each day for a year. And I did just that.* Sometimes the tracks were great, sometimes average, but they were always interesting and it was a way for me to give my creative muscles a workout.

The details behind each track can be found at: cinemavolta.com/category/music-2/daily-ambience/

This was done before Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and all of the things we take for granted today. It was one of the earliest podcasts, and probably one of the only podcasts in history that doesn’t involve any talking.

*Apart from a two-week interruption in April of 2005 due to the unexpected death of my father. I added two weeks of tracks at the end of the project to make up a full years’ worth of music.
